AKL-tec impresses with smart inspection system for air freight
transport logistic 2025 in Munich set new standards – with a record 2,722 exhibitors from 73 countries, over 77,000 trade visitors from more than 130 countries, and a clear focus on digitalization, sustainability, and artificial intelligence.
Amidst this dynamic innovation platform, we presented ourselves with great success as a pioneer in the field of intelligent freight measurement. At our well-attended booth, we demonstrated how smart inspection technology can revolutionize air freight logistics with a reinterpretation of the proven Apache Contour system.
The focus was on an intelligent inspection system that not only automatically records the exact dimensions – length, width, height, and volume – but also analyzes the contour of the cargo in detail. The advantages of this technology were clear at the trade fair: more precise palletizing, better use of space in the aircraft fuselage, and, above all, increased safety and efficiency during loading.
The system evaluates in real time whether a transport good is suitable for a specific loading unit, which contributes significantly to preventing transport damage. Visitors were able to see the benefits of the technology for themselves in live demonstrations and showed keen interest in its practical implementation. The crowds were particularly large on the second and third days of the trade fair, when the new CubiScan N9 system was demonstrated live, sparking many discussions and positive feedback.

The growing importance of intelligent logistics solutions was impressively demonstrated: an environment in which AKL-tec, with over 30 years of expertise, is right at the cutting edge.
With a strong trade fair presence and forward-looking technology, we demonstrated in Munich that every contour counts and that smart inspection technology is an indispensable part of modern air freight processes.
